The Remnant symbolizes a community of garbage collectors who are tasked with the collecting society's waste, the remnants of trash on the streets and among households. This community is not formalized into society, meaning they aren't earning a steady income for their essential services. Daily, children go out collecting waste early in the morning and bringing it back for their mothers and fathers to sort. Recycling everything by hand, they maintain an 80% accuracy rate, proving to be efficient entrepreneurs. These overlooked, yet savvy entrepreneurs and garbage collectors are the Remnant community we serve.
